Golden Chai Co. began as a quiet ritual, a simple cup of chai. Taking that ritual beyond our home meant learning how to scale, share, and invite others into the experience.
A Solution to a Common Issue
Golden Chai Co. began on a holiday when we found ourselves deprived of our essential morning ritual: chai. We couldn’t make it, and we couldn’t buy it. Without chai, the day carried a dull, lingering ache. It may sound like an exaggeration, but everyone knows the emptiness of missing their caffeine fix. That’s when we realised that chai isn’t just a drink, it’s a daily ritual worth protecting.
Now, wherever we go, we carry our own chai kit: a small pot, a sieve, our spice blend and tea. Golden Chai Co. was born from that craving, and from the knowledge that others share it too. We’re here to make sure no one has to go without their perfect cup of chai.
Showcasing & Gathering Feedback
The next step was putting Golden Chai Co. out into the world. We began showcasing samples at entrepreneurship events, asking people for honest feedback. The responses were wonderfully diverse:
Some had never tried chai before
Others had loved chai for years and knew exactly how they liked it
Some didn’t drink milk and wanted dairy-free options
Some wanted it stronger, spicier, more fragrant
Some wanted it iced
And yes, one person even asked if it was camel’s milk?!
Procuring Thoughtfully & Building Systems
Scaling up meant sourcing ingredients and equipment that aligned with our values. We spent months researching procurement options across India, working with suppliers who shared our commitment to quality, sustainability, and ethics. Every partnership was chosen carefully, to make sure our chai reflects not just flavour but respect for the communities who grow and process the ingredients.
Looking Ahead to Our Launch
The journey hasn’t always been perfect, but it’s been intentional. Every late night, every tasting session, every conversation has been about staying true to the mission: to share chai in a way that is vibrant, authentic, consistent, and full of care.
We’re now preparing for our launch this October, and we couldn’t be more excited.
